Port Authority of Thailand

State port authority — operates Thailand's commercial ports

The Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) is the state authority responsible for Thailand's principal commercial seaports and waterway terminals, including Laem Chabang Port, Bangkok Port (Khlong Toei), Ranong Port, Chiang Saen Commercial Port and Chiang Khong Port. Laem Chabang is operated on a landlord model, with PAT owning and maintaining the port estate while private concessionaires operate individual terminals. PAT reported Laem Chabang container throughput of 9.46 million TEU in FY2024, up from 8.67 million TEU the previous fiscal year, on revenue of THB 16.75 billion.

PAT's FY2024 figures verified via The Nation's reporting of the authority's own results, 17 Aug 2026. The port.co.th domain returned a 403 to automated retrieval in this pass, so it is listed as the authority's official domain but was not opened directly.
