Customs clearance, tariffs and Free Zone administration
The Customs Department, under the Ministry of Finance, handles import and export clearance, tariff classification, Free Zone administration and the compilation of Thailand's official trade statistics. It also administers Thailand's Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) trade-facilitation programme, which the Thai National Shippers' Council promotes to its exporter membership.
